PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MALDI mass analyzing method capable of preparing a relatively homogeneous sample-matrix mixture and enhanced in sensitivity. SOLUTION: The MALDI mass analyzing method includes the process of forming, on a target plate, a liquid droplet of a mixed liquid, which is a mixed liquid containing a sample to be analyzed and an ionic liquid as a matrix in a solvent, wherein the concentration of the ionic liquid in the mixed liquid is 20 pM-40 mM, the process of removing the solvent from the liquid droplet of the mixed liquid to reduce the volume of the liquid droplet and to reduce the contact area of the target plate with the mixed liquid so as to gather the sample to be analyzed contained in the mixed liquid and the ionic liquid to a part of the area, thus obtaining the focus spot of the mixture containing the sample to be analyzed and the ionic liquid, and the process of subjecting the focus spot of the mixture to MALDI mass analyzing measurement.
