PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle capable of displaying on a display part of an odotrip meter, and easily conducting switch setting of display by using an existing switch. SOLUTION: The odotrip meter 4 is connected to a display data outputting means 13. Result display data of each mode is output on a liquid crystal display part 4a. A meter control part 10 determines an ON or OFF state of a trip reset switch before ON or OFF determination of an ignition key switch. In the OFF state, a mode is shifted to a normal mode. In the ON state, depending on whether an initial display setting of the liquid crystal display part 4a is set as an ODO display, the mode is shifted to a fault diagnosis mode or a display switch mode. In the display switch mode, in response to ON times when the trip reset switch 5 is pressed down, the display is sequentially switched between the ODO display, display content display at a previous ignition OFF, a trip A display, a trip B display, and an oil change distance display.
