PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further effectively utilize steam and drainage by minimizing the amount of drainage simply discharged from a flush tank and the like. SOLUTION: This hot water utilizing device comprises a hot water tank 50 which is constituted to be connectable with the flush tank 24, and to which the hot water is introduced from the flush tank 24, a compressing mechanism 52 for sucking and compressing the steam in the hot water tank 50, a heat exchanger 54 for applying heat of the steam compressed by the compressing mechanism 52 to a heat medium utilized outside, an expansion valve 56 for expanding the water passing through the heat exchanger 54, and a capacity control means 78 for controlling a capacity of the compressing mechanism 52 on the basis of a detection value of a temperature sensor 66.
