A method and apparatus for zooming an image. In the present method, a plurality of scan periods and a plurality of scan data are provided, wherein the i<SUB>th </SUB>scan data is provided in the i<SUB>th </SUB>scan period. The j<SUB>th </SUB>scan data is used to drive at least two adjacent scan lines within the j<SUB>th </SUB>scan period, wherein i, j are natural numbers.
