SOFTWARE UPGRADE CONTROL METHOD AND BROADCAST RECEIVING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

A software upgrade control method and a broadcast receiving apparatus using the same. The software upgrade control method includes transmitting information relating to a card installed to the broadcast receiving apparatus and used for broadcast processing, to outside; and controlling upgrade of software of the card based on a response of the transmitted card information. Accordingly, even when the type of the card installed to the broadcast receiving apparatus varies, the software of the card can be upgraded without error.
