PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure visibility or appearance of content information in image data to which additional information is added.

SOLUTION: An area-setting unit 270 sets an area, to which the additional information is to be added, on the basis of an addition method of obtained additional information and content information contained in image data. An information-adding unit 280 adds the additional information to the additional-information area by the addion method, thereby, ensuring visibility or appearance of the content information contained in the image data.
