<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge that can shut off the drive of an inner rotating body, when a used toner cartridge or a used developing cartridge (hereinafter referred to as "cartridge") is reused as a waste toner container, and to provide an image forming apparatus to which the cartridge can be loaded. <P>SOLUTION: A stirring blade 22 and a conveying screw 23 disposed in the cartridge are driven through a stirring gear 32, an intermediate gear 33 and a conveying gear 34 with the rotation of an input gear 31 located on the image forming apparatus side. The intermediate gear 33 is supported on a shaft in a recessed part 21d formed in the container body 21a so that it can freely rotate and slide in a vertical direction. Usually, the peripheral edge of the flange 33b of the gear 33 comes into contact with the upper surface of the recessed part so as to maintain the engagement connection between the gears. When the cartridge is loaded to the waste toner container loading part of the image forming apparatus, the intermediate gear 33 is pressurized by a projecting member 11E in a direction shown by an arrow A, then, the flange 33b is broken and press-inserted into the recessed part, then, the engagement connection between the gears is interrupted, thereby interrupting the transmission to the conveying screw 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
