PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic circuit device, a failure diagnostic device, a failure diagnostic system, and a failure diagnostic program capable of performing failure diagnoses with a minimized calculation quantity. SOLUTION: The system comprises a storage device which stores a middle-order program for providing a part of functions owned by the electronic circuit device and a low-order program for providing a part of functions provided by the middle-order program by making them associate with each other based on a processing procedure for executing the low-order program described by the middle-order program; and the failure diagnostic device adapted to perform the failure diagnosis to the low-order program and then perform the failure diagnosis to the middle-order program stored by the storage device by being made to associate with the low-order program that is the diagnosis object. According to this, since the low-order program is subjected to the failure diagnosis prior to the middle-order program, a failure induced by a failure cause in the low-order program can be efficiently diagnosed.
