PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedometer capable of calculating precise total consumption calories by easily detecting the precise number of steps and determining an exercise state (walking, running, walking up the stairs, and walking down the stairs) only with a triaxial acceleration sensor. SOLUTION: The pedometer comprises: a pedometer comprising a triaxial acceleration sensor, an acceleration change amount calculation part for calculating a change in acceleration on the basis of an output of the triaxial acceleration sensor, and a number of step measurement part for detecting the number of steps in accordance with the change amount; and a pedometer having a running speed calculation part for calculating the running speed on the basis of the determination of an acceleration exercise state determination part for determining an exercise state from the acceleration in the vertical direction and acceleration in the direction a user moves in and a consumption calorie calculation part for calculating a consumption calorie on the basis of a biological condition from an external memory.
