The method involves controlling an engine of an electronic motor control, and providing a fuel injector (40) with multiple independently controllable modules. Multiple test sequences are bring together for a test matrix, in which all operating mode of these modules pass through. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for the execution of the examining method.
