The invention relates to a flexible rod for transmitting axial force, in particular compressive force, eliminating the normal components, between the platform of an aerodynamic scales and the load cells. The inventive rod is particularly advantageous over other hitherto-used designs in that: (i) it comprises a single part, thereby maintaining the axis undisturbed and facilitating the handling thereof; and (ii) it is constructed so that the flexible elements thereof are protected against overloads.
