<p>Fibres and filaments for fire resistant textiles are made from regenerated cellullose (viscose) contg. 8-30 wt. % (based on cellulose) of a polybromocyclohexane, pref. hexabromocyclohexane (I). Fibres are formed by spinning a viscose contg. (I) as 1 mu particles in aq. suspension into a coagulation bath. 0.5% phosphorus as an org. cpd. may be added with (I). The prodts. are fire resistant without loss of textile quality or launder resistance.</p> |
