<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller capable of being used comfortably even by a physically handicapped user, and to provide a television apparatus using the remote controller. <P>SOLUTION: The television apparatus includes: a timing hour setup screen generating means for generating a timing hour setup screen for displaying a predetermined number on a screen based on an instruction from a remote controller; a timing hour determining means 15 for determining a timing hour based on the time required for pressing the predetermined number displayed in the timing hour setup screen using a channel key; and a channel switching signal discriminating means 16 for judging a plurality of channel switching signals inputted within a threshold value as a channel switching signal corresponding to a predetermined channel number with the timing hour determined by the timing hour determining means as the threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
