The racket frame incorporates a portion (16) that is designed to accelerate shape restitution; it comprises an intermediate element (19) with a hole for a string, fitted between two hollow tubular frame members (17, 18). The thickness (T1) of the tubular frame members and the thickness (T2) of the intermediate element are in a ratio where T2/T1 is below 1. The minimal distance (W1) between the tubular frame members and the distance (W2) between the outer edges of the intermediate element are in a ratio where W1/W2 is less than 1. The intermediate element can be made from a resin, optionally fibre-reinforced, metal or composition material, and has viscoelastic elements (20) between it and the frame members. |
