PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate opening/closing system capable of automatically opening a gate when a user approaches it and automatically closing the gate after the user departs afar from it. SOLUTION: The gate opening/closing system is provided with a portable unit carried by the user and a gate side unit 4 mounted on a gatepost 3a. The gate side unit 4 transmits an ID signal at the optional timing, and the ID signal is received by the portable unit when the portable unit approaches the gate side unit 4. When the ID of the portable unit is satisfactorily collated with the ID of the gate side unit 4 on the portable unit, an ID signal is transmitted from the portable unit to the gate side unit. When the ID of the portable unit is satisfactorily collated with the ID of the gate side unit on the gate side unit, the gate 2 is automatically opened. When the portable unit departs afar from the gate side unit 4, the gate 2 is automatically closed. The user can easily pass through the frontage opening section of the gate 2 without taking the opening/closing actions of the gate according to these operations. |
