The system has a tower (10) and a gondola (12) at the tip of the tower with at least one first device (24) for producing an inert atmosphere in the tower and/or in the gondola and/or other parts of the wind energy system. The device can produce an inert atmosphere in the tower and/or in the gondola and/or in an auxiliary building or other parts of the wind energy system.
