A toner for developing electrostatic image is provided to prevent the surplus tear of the latent image retaining body, to improve cleaning of the surface of the latent image retaining body due to a good grinding capability and to obtain high-definition image. A toner for developing electrostatic image has a deposition rate(A) of an abrasive indicated as the following equation (1) is 40% or less over 10%. The equation (1) is a deposition rate(A) = B / (B+C) x100, wherein B is a mass of the abrasive adhered to a toner for developing electrostatic image, after removing the floating abrasive on the toner surface by applying supersonic vibration(the output 60W, and the frequency 20kHz) to the solution dispersing the toner for developing electrostatic image toner for 15 minutes; and C is a mass of the abrasive removed by using the method.
