<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection device certainly detecting an occupant seating state, and suppressing increase in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant crash protection device 11 has bag elements 26, 27 which can be deformed at least in either deforming state of a folded state and a generally horizontal state, and expand/develops around a vehicular seat. The occupant crash protection device 11 comprises: a seat deformation detecting means detecting that the seat is in the deforming state; and a deployment controlling means prohibiting the expansion/development of bag elements 26, 27 when the seat deformation detecting means detects that the seat is in the deforming state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
