A liquid crystalline composition is provided to improve reliability and response rate and to reduce the manufacture costs of the liquid crystal display. A liquid crystalline composition comprises 1-40 wt.% of the first compound containing at least one selected from a group consisting of the formula 1 and 2; 5-30 wt.% of the second compound containing at least one selected from a group consisting of the formula 3, 4 and 5; 0-40 wt.% of the third compound containing at least one selected from a group consisting of the formula 6 and 7; and 5-80 wt.% of the forth compound containing at least one selected from a group consisting of the formula 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
