DATA PLACEMENT SCHEME FOR MULIT-DIMENSIONAL SCALABLE VIDEO DATA

A data storing method is provided to store multi-dimensional expandability video data which maximizes the availability ratio of a disc by minimizing the excessive data reading which is additionally read in order to reduce the overhead of the disc. It is about the method for storing video data in a disc in which calculation is performed to find in order to transmit the multi-dimensional scalable video data with the streaming service. According to the expandability level controlling resolution, the multi-dimensional expandability video stream is separated by the unit stream. The unit stream is arranged by the streaming service period unit. The unit stream is rearranged so that read data which have to be read from the disc during the streaming service cycle are minimized. And video data are stored in the disc.
