LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

An LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the response rate by forming pre-tilt angle on a liquid crystal by radiating UV, and adding dopant in the liquid crystal. A first substrate(100) comprises a pixel electrode(82) in which one or more first domain formation means are formed, and the first vertical alignment layer(92) arranged on the pixel electrode. The second substrate(200), arranged facing with the first substrate, comprises the common electrode(140) in which one or more second domain formation means are formed the common electrode and the second vertical alignment layer(152) arranged on the common electrode. When the driving power is not applied at the first and the second substrate, the liquid crystal is 88~90° pre-tilted with the first substrate.
