摘要 A single gap transflective fringe-field switching display is provided to solve the different response time, between the reflective region and the light-transmitting region and double gamma curve by using the metal grid in the reflective region. A lower plate consists of a lower polarizing plate(9) and a lower glass substrate(8) positioned at the upper part of a lower polarizing plate. A common electrode is formed at an upper part of the lower glass substrate. A micro-pattern metal(4) is formed on a reflective region. An ITO(Indium-Tin Oxide)(7) is formed on a transmission region. A pixel electrode having the same grid exists in the reflective region and transmission region at the upper part of common electrodes. An insulating layer(6) is placed on between the pixel electrode and common electrode. An liquid crystal layer(3) is positioned on the upper part of pixel electrode. A top glass substrate(2) is positioned on the top of the liquid crystal layer, and an upper polarizing plate(1) exists on the top glass substrate. A grid shape common electrode of the reflective region has fringe field effect, as well as the effect of the wire grid polarizer.
