摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station-side optical communication device capable of speeding up a communication speed compared with the conventional one while keeping synchronization time shorter. <P>SOLUTION: The station-side optical communication device 20 (an OLT 20) is connected to one end of a trunk optical fiber 4, and also, connected with a plurality of subscriber-side optical communication devices 10a-10c (ONUs 10a-10c) via an optical splitter 3, which branches the trunk optical fiber 4, and branch optical fibers 5a-5c. On that occasion, a synchronization time calculation part 22 of the OLT 20 calculates the length of the synchronization time of the succeeding signal corresponding to an intensity difference between combinations of preceding signals and succeeding signals transmitted from the ONUs 10a-10c.
