The present invention relates to a furniture leg with light for a piece of furniture designed to stand on a floor. The furniture leg, oriented like in its mounted state on the piece of furniture comprises at least one disc of a transparent material mounted underneath the furniture leg and a light source also arranged underneath the furniture leg to the effect that the light source is entirely or partially upwardly shielded by the furniture leg and is able to emit light out through the disc in directions across the floor. The invention further relates to a piece of furniture designed to stand on a floor with a furniture leg in accordance with the above. The invention further relates to a method of illuminating a floor area around a piece of furniture with furniture legs, wherein a disc of a transparent material is mounted underneath a furniture leg, and a light source is also arranged underneath the furniture leg to the effect that the light source is completely or partially upwardly shielded, but emits light out through the disc across the floor. |
