A cable guide in a drive unit for a shaft-driven land vehicle comprises a turning trestle (16) holding a drive wheel and motor with a gear and turns about a vertical axis with a shaft support where the shaft turns about a horizontal axis. There is a vertical cylindrical through way (22) for a cable bundle (26) holding a plastic sheath having a partly axis-parallel split (30) and with an outward extending nose engaging a ring groove in the ring groove to be axially fixed.
