An antenna device having a dielectric substrate (3) with upper and lower surfaces, an ultra wide band (UWB) conductive radiating component (1) formed on the upper surface and provided with a feed line (2), and an electrically-conductive ground plane (4) formed on the lower surface and extending at least partially across a width of the lower surface of substrate underneath the feed line on the upper surface but not underneath the radiating component on the upper surface. The ground plane (4) has an edge (5) facing towards the radiating component, the edge being crenellated (7) or castellated. |
