A composition comprising a compound capable of promoting growth and differentiation of osteoblasts, and activity of alkaline phosphatase(ALP) is provided to prevent and treat fractural disorder and restore bone with minimized side effects. A pharmaceutical or health food composition for preventing and treating fractural disorder comprises 0.1-50 wt.% of a compound selected from arginine, cinnamic acid, daidzin, puerarin, palmatine, berberine or beta-D-glucopyranoside which is isolated from the extract of Astragalus membranaceus (FISCH) Bunge, Cinnamomum cassia PRESL., Lithospermum erythrorhizon SIEB., Pueraria thunbergiana BENTH, Citrus aurantum L. or Phellodendron amurense RUPR., and is formulated as tablet, capsule, pill or solution, wherein the daily dosage of the compound is 0.0001-100 mg/kg, preferably 0.01-100 mg/kg.
