A press plate pressed to an electric wire contact plate of a terminal is provided to prevent separation of a leading wire of an electric wire from an electric wire contact plate and a press plate by pressing a peripheral surface to increase a mutual press fixing sectional area of the leading wire and the press plate. A terminal(100) includes a terminal connecting plate(110) and an electric wire contact plate(120) which are integrally formed. The terminal is fixed to a terminal fixing case(10). A fixing screw(20) is screwed to the electric wire contact plate to press a press plate, thereby pressing a leading wire(40) of an electric wire(30) above the electric wire contact plate. A press surface(220) and a rotation prevention projection(230) are formed in a lower surface of the press plate to enable the press surface to press a peripheral surface of the leading wire of the electric wire by engagement of the fixing screw with the electric wire contact plate. The rotation prevention projection is pressed to the electric wire contact plate.
