The minimum thickness of the tile (1) at its midpoint is 40 cm. The tile contains a hole (2) allowing it to be tightly fitted over the pole and the periphery of this hole is at least 10 cm from the outer periphery of the tile. Plants can not grow up through the tile. An independent claim is also included for method for fitting the tile around a roadside reflector pole, by pushing the tile over the distal end of the pole until it lies in contact with the ground.
