DUAL-POLARIZED, MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA ARRAY, AND ASSOCIATED METHODOLOGY, FOR RADIO DEVICE

A dual-polarized microstrip patch antenna array for a radio device and an associated method thereof are provided to solve problems related to a cross polarization level by preventing coupling between feeding lines. A dual-polarized microstrip patch antenna array(32) for a radio device includes a substrate(42), patches(44), a connection strip(52), and a cross strip(56). The patches are arranged symmetrically on the substrate. The connection strip is arranged on the substrate and is connected to the adjacent patch among the patches. The cross strip is arranged on the substrate, provides a single feed point connection to the antenna array for the radio device, is connected to a pair of patches which are arranged diagonally to each other. The pair of patches connected to the cross strip provide dual-polarized operation.
