A ghost server system for improving a throughput of a wireless Internet and an operation method thereof are provided to prevent unnecessary retransmission of packets by reliably delivering an ACK from a receiving side to a sending side. A packet mirroring unit(210) mirrors transmission and reception packets between a mobile communication terminal and a packet transmission server and outputs the mirrored packet. A packet monitoring unit(220) receives the mirrored packet from the packet mirroring unit and orders to generate an ACK packet for the data packet, when the ACK packet is not received by the mobile communication terminal within a predetermined time interval. An ACK generator(230) generates the ACK packet for the specific data packet according to the order of the packet monitoring unit, and outputs the ACK packet. An acknowledged transmitter(240) transmits the ACK packet, which is generated in the acknowledged generator, to the packet transmission server.
