FIELD: physics, video technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention concerns video signal processing, coding and decoding technology, particularly to method of video frame cutting with the help of frame identifier. According to the invention, the method involves defining frame identifier by coding/decoding rules as identifier intended for video signal stream cutting. If encoded video signal bit stream is cut, the said identifier is inserted into bit stream or used to replace initial identifier which is used as start flag. Bits indicating possibility of correct or incorrect decoding and displaying of cut video signal bit stream are not required in uncut bit stream; if a definite point is cut, the said identifier appears in this point to indicate a problem which would impair correct image decoding due to separation of reference data for assumption. ^ EFFECT: method of frame cutting with the help of frame identifier without leaving flag bits in uncut bit stream. ^ 9 cl, 3 ex |
