FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to method and installation for metal band cooling during drawing at thermo treatment. For cooling of continuous drawn metal band the latter is arranged on a cooling roller thus forming an arc, the interior surface of which together with the exterior surface of the cooling roller creates a contact zone designed for transfer of part of band heat into inside the roller; contact between the band and the cooling roller is supported by means of a pressure roll effecting the exterior surface of the band; this pressure roll consists of an elastic deforming and heat capacious material; heat transferred from the band to the pressing roll is withdrawn by means of auxiliary cooling facilities. Thus there is facilitated firm pressing of the band to the cooling roller and complete control of the cooling process is achieved avoiding damages of the band surface. ^ EFFECT: facilitating firm pressing of band to cooling roller with complete control of cooling process without damages of band surface. ^ 10 cl, 3 dwg, 3 tbl |
