METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INKJET RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium which has excellent image quality and slight curling tendency under high humidity conditions while maintaining high printing density and high ink absorbency.

SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium, dispersion liquid containing latex of 1 mass% to 10 mass% as a nonvolatile component and penetrant of 0.75 mass% to 2 mass% as a non-volatile component is impregnated and dried on the surface opposite to the recording surface of the inkjet recording medium so that the nonvolatile amount becomes not less than 1 g/m2, wherein the inkjet recording medium has a recording surface with a 60° mirror surface glossiness of not less than 20% regulated by JIS Z 8741 and comprises a paper support body having no continuous crack on the surface of the recording surface and having a thickness of not less than 100 μm.
