<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which makes a surface of a coating layer highly resistant to scratch, makes the coating layer hardly come off from an air-permeable substrate, and has a high gloss and sufficient ink absorbency. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording medium is manufactured by coating a lower layer, which is composed of a water-absorbing inorganic pigment, latex and a boracic acid or a borate, and an upper layer, which is composed of a submicronic pigment, polyvinyl alcohol and a cationic urethane compound, on the air-permeable substrate, and then subjecting them to casting treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
