摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery before initial charging capable of reducing the usage of a positive electrode active material by supplying a part of lithium (lithium ions) from a substance different from the positive electrode active material in initial charging, and increasing the utilization factor of the positive electrode active material after that, and improved in the conductivity of a positive electrode active material layer; a lithium ion secondary battery manufacturable by using it, and capable of suppressing degradation of battery capacity when charge and discharge are repeated; a vehicle with the lithium ion secondary battery mounted thereto; and a battery-mounting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium ion secondary battery 1 before initial charging is provided with a positive electrode member 21 having a positive electrode active material layer 24 containing a positive electrode active material 24a, and a negative electrode member 25 having a negative electrode active material layer 28 containing a negative electrode active material 28a. In the lithium ion secondary battery 1 before initial charging, the negative electrode active material 28a is a negative electrode active material 28a before initial charging without having lithium doped.
