<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the difficulty of peeling off due to thin film electrodeposition of an electrolytic copper outside layer formed after planned outage in an copper electrolytic refining plant using a permanent cathode (PC) system. <P>SOLUTION: In the planned power outage in an electrolytic refining plant carrying out the electrolytic copper refining by the PC system, the current normally passed through an electrolytic cell from a main rectifier permanently installed in the electrolytic refining plant is gradually decreased and next, low current is passed through the electrolytic cell by an auxiliary rectifier attached to the electrolytic refining plant until the outage is restored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
