<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a point defect and a line defect of an imaging device by accurately detecting them in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: An image in which median subtraction (102) is performed only to the read direction of the image of a read image for defect detection read from a radiation image detector is used as point defect extraction, a point defect candidate pixel is extracted by being made binary with a threshold th_a (104), a line whose point defect candidate pixel is equal to or larger than a fixed ratio is determined as a line defect, and remaining point defect candidate pixels are determined as point defects (106). Also, an image in which offset correction, shading correction, and the median subtraction (100) are performed with respect to the read direction and the orthogonal direction of an image from the radiation image detector is used for line defect extraction, a line defect candidate pixel is extracted by making a threshold th_b (<th_a) binary (108), a line whose line defect candidate pixel is equal to or larger than a fixed ratio is determined as a line defect, and the remaining point defect candidate pixel is removed from a defect pixel (110). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
