<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an outer ring of a self-aligning bearing, capable of preventing a turning tool from chipping, or a track from being damaged in a turing process of the track after the heat treatment. <P>SOLUTION: Before the heat treatment, an annular groove 2b is formed in a portion corresponding to an oil hole 7 of the track 2a of the outer ring 2 so as to prevent intermittent cutting from occurring owing to the oil hole 7 in the cutting process of the track after the heat treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
