PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize developer to be supplied from a developing roller to an image carrier in the lengthwise direction of a developing roller. SOLUTION: The developing device 20 includes: the developing roller 24 incorporating a non-rotating roller-side magnet 243 and rotating around a roller shaft 241; and a blade 30 for regulating the thickness of a layer of magnetic-component-containing toner T, formed on the circumference of the developing roller 24. The blade 30 has a plurality of unit magnets 401 to 406 (six in the present embodiment) disposed in series in the lengthwise direction of the blade 30. These unit magnets 401 to 406 are set so that magnetic forces may gradually decrease from the upstream side to the downstream side along the axis of the developing roller 24 along the direction of conveyance of the toner T.
