PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water hose for cars which is excellent in vibration absorption performance. SOLUTION: The method for producing the water hose includes a process for preparing a material for an inner layer which contains at least one of EPDM and EPM and a peroxide crosslinking agent and does not contain sulfur as a vulcanizing agent, a process for preparing a material for an outer layer which contains EPDM and sulfur, a process for manufacturing a hose laminate in which the outer layer 3 is formed on the periphery of the inner layer 1 by using these materials, and a process in which by subjecting the hose laminate to vulcanizing adhesion after being allowed to stand for 24-840 h at room temperature. the crosslinking density (a) of the vicinity of the peripheral surface of the vulcanized inner layer 1 and the crosslinking density (b) of the vicinity of the inner circumference of the vulcanized inner layer 1 are adjusted to satisfy formula (X): a/b≤0.85 and formula (Y): b≥1.0×10<SP>-5</SP>(mol/cm<SP>3</SP>).
