PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thinner composition that exhibits very excellent elimination against a composition containing a cyclic olefin-based polymer and can wash an insulating substrate sufficiently. SOLUTION: The thinner composition for eliminating a composition containing a cyclic olefin-based polymer comprises at least one kind selected from the group consisting of 1-methoxy-2-propanol and N,N-dimethylacetamide.
