PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving operation assisting device for a vehicle for transmitting status around the vehicle as an accelerator reaction force. SOLUTION: A controller 60 for the driving operation assisting device for a vehicle 1 calculates the risk potential from a driving environment around the vehicle and a driver's skill level for the driving environment. The controller 60 compensates the control amount for the reaction force calculated, according to the risk potential according to the skill level and by generating a compensated control amount for the reaction force as the reaction force in the accelerator, the risk potential and the skill level can be transmitted to the driver via the driver's sense of touch.
