PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a gasket capable of forming a gasket having excellent properties that can satisfy all of required specifications on applications such as sound and oscillation properties, and the permeability resistance to various gases. SOLUTION: This resin composition for the gasket is obtained by adding an organic peroxide (D) to a mixture (I) or a mixture (II) of 100 pts.wt., and mixing it to partially crosslink dynamically or statically. The mixture (I) comprises an organic peroxide-crosslinkable olefin copolymer rubber (A) of 5-95 pts.wt. and an organic peroxide-degradable olefin copolymer rubber (B) of 95-5 pts.wt. The mixture (II) comprises the mixture (I) of 100 pts.wt. and an organic peroxide-degradable olefin crystalline resin (C) of 50 pts.wt. In this composition, a volume ratio of a component that exhibits molecular motion of T<SB>2</SB>(spin-spin relaxation) time of 30-300μs due to proton (H<SP>+</SP>) pulse nuclear magnetic resonance is 15-85%.
