<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus by which color reproduction can be realized without breaking down the color balance, even if the density of an arbitrary color component does not satisfy a predetermined density. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a gradation transformation section 81 which transforms input pixel data constituted by specific color components into output pixel data, on the basis of a gradation transformation table 82 for each color component, an image forming section 3 which forms color images, on the basis of the output pixel data and image density adjusting section 83, which adjusts the image density of reference patterns for each color component formed by the image forming section 3 so that it becomes a predetermined density. The apparatus is provided with a color-correcting section 84, which normalizes component data of input pixels including the color components, with a value corresponding to the maximum density value of the color components which is the input maximum value, when the adjusted density of any one of the color components by the image density adjusting section 83 does not satisfy the predetermined density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
