摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of elements constituting a pixel circuit and the number of wiring lines, and to minimize an influence of characteristic variance of transistors regarding driving timing of an electrooptical element. <P>SOLUTION: A display device is so configured that source potentials (Vccp/Vini) supplied from a power supply scan circuit 50 to a driving transistor 22 can be switched, and while the driving transistor 22 is used in common as a transistor controlling light-emission period/non-light emission period of an organic EL element 21, a signal write preparation period is provided to temporary hold the signal voltage Vsig of a video signal which is written first in a second holding capacitor 27 in the signal write preparation period.
