<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is impossible to correspond to dynamically generated tilting of a vehicle body and to take prompt and complete action for that, in an conventional auto leveling device mainly detecting tilting in a fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle body from expansion/contraction to level a headlight. <P>SOLUTION: The auto leveling device comprises a stroke sensor mainly detecting tilting in the fore-and-aft direction generated by a load to a vehicle body, and an angle detecting sensor mainly detecting tilting in the fore-and-aft direction generated by a state of a road surface to the vehicle body. The output of a light-shielding sensor is provided with a low pass filter, and the angle detecting sensor is provided with a high pass filter.
