<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module, along with its manufacturing method, capable of suppressing such deformation as deflection. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication module A1 comprises a substrate 1, a light emitting element 3 and a light receiving element 4 mounted on the substrate 1, a drive IC5 for drive-controlling the light emitting element 3 and the light receiving element 4, and a resin package for covering the light emitting element 3, light receiving element 4, and drive IC5. The substrate 1 is a rectangle, and is made from such material as has smaller linear expansion coefficient than the material of the resin package and has a high elastic coefficient. It also comprises a reinforcing resin 6 having a pair of band-like parts 61 and 62 which are sandwiched between the substrate 1 and the resin package and extend along both major sides of the substrate 1 to pinch the light emitting element 3 and the light receiving element 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
