PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of enhancing a savor of a game by surely and effectively making an appeal to a player about a possibility that transfer conditions to an advantageous special game state may be established. SOLUTION: The slot machine is provided with a prior decision means for allowing or disallowing display of a prescribed display mode and a display control means for controlling a variable display means based on the decision result of the prior decision means. In the case that one game ends by the derivation and display of the display result of the variable display means, and it is decided that the display of a special display mode predetermined by the prior decision means is allowed, on the condition that a predetermined special display mode is displayed in the variable display region in a prescribed game, an arrangement is carried out informing by a prescribed mode whether or not it is decided to allow the display of the predetermined special display mode, by the prior decision means in the next game onward.
