摘要 The invention disclosed herein is directed to methods and devices for treating tissue having an overlying portion and an underlying portion by using a first fractional optical energy treatment to coagulate a plurality of zones in the overlying portion, thereby reducing the optical scattering of the overlying portion, and directing a subsequent fractional optical energy treatment through the coagulated zones to the underlying portion in order to produce an effective treatment in the underlying portion of a region of tissue. The methods and devices disclosed can further comprise detection and treatment of subsurface targets in the underlying portion of tissue. The treatment parameters used to deliver the first and subsequent treatments, including wavelength, can be optimized in order to provide a first optical treatment that effectively coagulates the overlying portion and a subsequent one or more optical treatments that effectively treat the underlying portion.
